Allison is the owner of Peace River Homeschoolers and a homeschooling mom of two with 8 years of experience. She created Peace River Homeschoolers with the goal of giving homeschool kids a place to connect, build friendships, try new things, and grow together. She wanted to create a welcoming space where kids can develop confidence and independence while having meaningful experiences with other homeschoolers.

Allison enjoys introducing children to the culinary arts, using cooking as a way to encourage creativity, confidence, and connection. She holds a BA in Hospitality Management from SUNY Delhi and an AOS in Culinary Arts from SUNY Schenectady County Community College, with a focus on baking. Her lessons blend cooking with elements of history and science to deepen their understanding and spark curiosity. Her lessons often explore how different cultures shape the food we share, helping students connect with one another and recognize the value of diversity within their own community.
